Gyms Pac Sukie PCNB Sleeve

The popular and versatile PCNB sleeve now comes in four prints designed exclusively for Gyms Pac by Darrell Gibbs of Sukie UK. Darrell's unique prints are a perfect juxtaposition for our simple and functional laptop sleeves.

You don't have to wait for New Year to make resolutions. If you aspire to get fit and find a girl, I'm going to show you how to achieve both goals at once.

Now, I've got to admit, I've always been the kind of guy who prefers the route of least exertion. Given the choice between a night on the sofa and an hour at the gym, I'll take the remote control, please.

But all that changed when I realised that if I wanted some female company on my sofa, an hour at the gym was one of the best ways to achieve my goal.

Gyms are incredibly sociable places. They're packed full of people keen to share and receive good advice, chat while they wait for an exercise class, or grab a quick smoothie when they've finished their work out. Whether you're looking for friends, fun or romance, there are few quicker ways of getting to know girls than regular trips to the gym.

So, how do you go about it?

Well, the main thing to remember is that you're actually there to exercise. I'm serious. And there are three very good reasons why this is so:

Firstly, tone up those abs a bit and you'll soon find yourself looking and feeling a whole lot better. Good news for you, and much more attractive to her.

Secondly, most gyms have a swarm of sleazy guys who never do any exercise. Slack off too much and the girls will assume you're only there to ogle them which doesn't do much for your chances!

And thirdly, if you know what you're doing, you can strike up a conversation by offering a girl good advice.

Okay, so you've familiarized yourself with the running machines and you know your way to the pool what now?

Bear in mind that the gym is not a pick up joint. Yes, loads of the women are single, but they're not there to get chatted up they're there to keep themselves fit. If they catch you drooling at them in the mirror they're going to steer well clear.

Forget about finding a date for the moment, and think about making new friends. Greet the staff with a smile, chat to other guys while you wait for the weights, make pleasant conversation with anyone who offers; get yourself known as a really decent guy, and before you know it people will be clamouring to set you up on blind dates with their mates.

Keep yourself presentable. You're going to get sweaty, there's no avoiding that, but make sure you deodorise beforehand and shower thoroughly afterwards. No matter how proud you are of your new pecs, steer clear of the skin tight clothes, and stick to appropriate gym gear.

When you do talk to cute girls, start off slowly. Say hi if you're on the machine next to them. Offer advice if they need it, but move away once it's taken. If you're getting more water, offer to fetch for them, too. But remember that they're there to work out, so don't keep distracting them unless it's clear that they want you to.

Remember, women like nice guys. You're smart, you're considerate, you've got a cute smile. Take things slowly, be patient, be polite and before you know it you'll find yourself sitting in the juice bar (well, it is a gym!) getting to know a girl better over a post work out pineapple smoothie.

Customer Review: Really good gym bag -- but look into the size before you buy it
The bag is good. Good material, looks good and clean. The bag is size is a tiny bit small though. If you have really big shoes or like to just dump things into a bag and run out of the door... then this might not be the right bag for you. If you are looking to just carry a pair of shoes with shorts and tshirt.. this is a decent enough bag.

If you ever turn on the t.v late at night, you'll notice a series of infomercials selling you their latest gadget/machine telling you if you use it for as little as 5 minutes a day, you'll get a sexy, slim waistline and reveal those six pack abs.

The truth is these ab machines will not make you any slimmer, the only thing they'll do for you is give you *stronger* abs. Notice the difference between stronger abs and a slim waistline. Its possible to have a great set of strong ab muscles, but still look repulsive simply because those sexy abs are buried under thick layers of FAT.

In order to get the look you're after you need to concentrate on:

1. Your diet

2. Your metabolism

3. effective ab exercises

An ab machine by itself will literally give you no results if you don't include all these aspects to you're regime. I know its so easy to believe the garbage they sell us on t.v with the sexy models promoting it with a big smile on their faces, swearing their success is all thanks to this magical machine which you only have to use for minutes a day.. (don't fall victim)

If you're serious about getting a six pack or a slim waistline.. you need to start to educate yourself about nutrition and metabolism raising strategies. Let me give you a secret which if done correctly will turn your body into a fat burning machine.

Its called interval training. Also known as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Its where you combine a very high energy spurt such as a sprint or exercise bike sprint with a rest period or a lower intensity period. for e.g you could do 30 seconds of running on a treadmill followed by 2-3 minutes of slow jogging. Then repeat this for 20 minutes.

Combine this type of training with eating 5 - 6 small meals every 2.5 - 3 hour intervals, eating more protein, less saturated fat, more complex carbohydrates, and more omega 3 fats and you'll be on you're way to being the guy or gal who everyone is jealous of.

If you want the complete blueprint of how to get a sexy midsection that you can show off at the beach then I recommend you visit my friend Mike Geary's website. Its a step by step instruction, a-z, paint by numbers system that hasn't failed anyone who's attempted it. Click here to check it out: http://mysixpackformula.com

Our diet and our lifestyle have made us vulnerable to weight problems these days. Our busy schedules often leave us no time to cook healthy food at home or take a few minutes to exercise daily. Unfortunately, the combination of bad food and less exercise can have some really serious effects in our bodies. After a few months of eating fast foods, most of us put on a lot of extra pounds that are hard to shake off. Fortunately, a home fitness exercise program and some high fiber food taken regularly can help us shed off a few extra pounds within just a short period of time. What is more interesting about the whole thing is that if we stick to our home fitness workout program and our high fiber diet, we may be able to keep the extra pounds from coming back.

Getting Into A Home Fitness Exercise Program

A simple home fitness exercise program will only take a few minutes to perform. According to experts, 15-20 minutes exercise daily will already make a lot of difference. If you are really serious about shedding off those extra pounds, you need to make little adjustments in your daily schedule. For instance, if you want to exercise before you leave for work, just set your alarm clock about 20 minutes earlier than your usual wake up time. With that 20 minutes head start, you can already do a lot of things. Besides, doing exercise in the morning can help you stay awake and active for most parts of the day. Moreover, according to experts, doing some exercises early in the morning will help improve your blood circulation to your brain so you will most likely be in top mental condition when you get to the office.

On the other hand, if you are not a morning person and you do not like the idea of starting your day with a home fitness exercise routine, you can do your workout after you get home from work. No, you are not too tired to workout after office hours. Unless your work involves manual activities, you will still have a lot of energies to spare for a exercise routine when you get home. Besides, doing a home exercise routine a couple of hours before bed time will help you sleep better later on. Exercise is a very good stress buster and it helps you unwind after a very busy day at the office.

Gym And Outdoor Games Balance And Coordination Games Jumpers Hoppers - Ball Hop - Set Of 6

"Extra tough for institutional use. Place an ankle through the ring and swing the ball in a circle, jumping with the other foot as the ball comes around. Designed with a super-tough plastic ball, new unbreakable round ankle ring, and 17"" long vinyl cord. Sold in sets of 6 (1 of each color)."

Like any good real estate junkie, I need my fix on Sunday afternoons. The sight of an inverted metal "V" sign alongside the street, with balloons bobbing in the wind, is sure to put a smile on my face. My specialty is the "high rise" Open Houses. I love to see how various lobbies are decorated, and to snicker at what the well meaning sales agent is trying to pass off as luxurious, or perhaps spacious.

Having graduated I've Seen a Lotta' from Open House College (I gave myself that designation after some twenty years of service), I believe it is fair to call a converted maids closet...a converted walk in closet, but not a gym. Especially when they are in some dark humid basement. The oversized ball used to do ab-work and the lone, kind-of-chintzy looking Stairmaster knock off doesn't cut it. Ditto for the two tread mills that wobble when you attempt to run faster while going nowhere.

And in the year 2008, who would think that brass was in? The last time someone tried to pass that interior motif off was back in the 1980's when Duran Duran ruled MTV, and you didn't yet own a cell phone. I am amazed at some of the dcor that passes off as somehow "in". Mauve and Seafoam? I have to stop and ask if I am on some hidden game show. They couldn't be serious could they?

One of my favorite amenities often heralded as the next coming of Christ, is the community room. Good advise is that you should not leave an open house until you have checked out the community room. With maroon carpeting as far as the eye can see, and keen sense that perhaps even if I did buy a condo here, it would be the last time I would see this room, I smile and nod appreciatively.

Lastly, I can listen for days, as sales representative extol the virtues of their concierge staff. The level of service one could expect would certainly exceed my expectations, I am reminded. Having lived in a high rise condo for the better part of my life, in a variety of buildings in urban areas, I can tell you that most front desk staff is not equipped, motivated, or adept at picking up or dropping off laundry. And I am not suggesting that they lack the ability. It is the management staff that either insists on procuring new staff, and allowing them to work without proper instruction and training, or just don't follow through with promises made by the sales staff.

Seeing amenities firsthand can be a real eye-opener in the high rise condominium market. It is always best to see for yourself, and have your expectations tempered with a dose of reality, before getting all excited and signing on the dotted line. At times you will overjoyed with the offerings, and other times you will be afforded the ability to snicker at the converted maid's closet.

So you know you want to write articles on a regular basis. Some internet marketers push writing an article a day. And they've told us that article marketing is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site. You've got lots of good content in your head. You really know your stuff. Great.

Now you sit down to write and a big nothing happens. You're stuck. All of a sudden the only idea you have is to find a cookie to eat while waiting for the coffee to brew. And when all else fails check your email, post on FaceBook, hang out on Twitter. It's called procrastination and we've all done it! Now there's a quick, if odd, solution for you.

If you're a runner, you do it every day. If you're not a runner, you've seen runners and other athletes do it. It's called the "Runner's Stretch." Brain Gym folks call it "Calf Pump." For runners, it stretches out tight muscles and tendons in the calves. For article writers, it helps us move forward, stop procrastinating, and get on with finishing that article-or just starting it. Sounds weird, I know, but it's true. (Got kids? Show it to them. They'll benefit too.)

Physical movement changes the neural pathways in the brain. And this particular movement seems to help get those neurons firing in the frontal lobes--where you express yourself in writing--and fewer neurons firing in the back of brain where you get stuck.

Not sure how to do it? Here's how. Stand up. Now lean forward with your hands placed against a wall or the back of your chair. Bend one knee, making sure your knee isn't beyond your toes. Stretch the other leg behind you as far as you can. Not so far that it hurts but far enough that you feel a stretch. Now slowly lift the heel of your outstretched leg up off the floor and lower you heel back down.

Be sure to breath: inhale as you lift your heel, exhale as you lower your heel. Repeat slowly at least six times. Now switch. Opposite leg is stretched out and the other leg is in the bent knee position. It's easy. It's relaxing. And almost always helps with procrastination.

In general any kind of movement helps with writing, working at your computer, even earning complicated new software. So give your brain a break. Get up every 30-40 minutes. Do a Runner's Stretch, walk about your house if you're in your home office. Go up and down stairs. Even toe touches with your ankles crossed helps. You can do toe touches sitting down or standing up.

Since this is a brain break and you want to get back to work right away, you probably don't want to do your aerobic workout right now. By the way, Ladies, if you're wearing high heels everyday, please do this Runner's Stretch (aka Calf Pump). High heels shorten the tendons in your calf. Get those tendons back to their normal length with Calf Pump.

Bike riding for exercise is one effective way of staying fit and toned and building physical endurance. In biking, almost all parts of the body are exercised, from the legs to the thighs to the abdomen and even the arms. Cycling, though, is more recommended to people who wish to strengthen the lower part of their body since the upper half does not get as much activity as the lower part when it comes to riding a bike.

Exercise for busy people

Although riding road bikes along various terrain might be a lot more fun than cycling indoors, some people just don't have the time to venture outdoors and work on their fitness. For these busy individuals, there is the option of indoor biking. Exercise bikes for use inside the home or in gyms are readily available and serve the same function as road bikes. They can use either the recumbent or the upright type and choose from various brands like ProForm, Nautilus, Schwinn and Life Fitness.

How biking works the muscles

Cycling, even indoors, allows a person to strengthen his or her legs, thighs and glutes. It is an effective cardiovascular activity and can help tone the muscles and keep a person fit. Pedaling strengthens the legs and helps make the inner thighs firm. It also helps accelerate metabolism, increase heart rate and helps burn calories. A person can lose weight, become stronger and keep fit with a proper cycling program.

Equipment for the activity

For people who prefer a more strenuous exercise program, an upright exercise bike machine would be ideal. It is much the same as a road bike where the rider would be required to use the pedals in a vertical, albeit stationary, position. For individuals new to exercising, or those who suffer from back pains and injuries, the recumbent is the more preferred type of exercise equipment. A recumbent bike puts the rider in a more horizontal position, with a backrest to protect his back and the feet out in front for pedaling.

Modern features

To compensate for the lack of outdoor views and varying terrain, some manufacturers of indoor exercise bikes have incorporated virtual programs into their products wherein the rider can enter a virtual setting simulating an outdoor experience. Adjustable resistance features and pre-programmed add-ons also allow the rider to simulate uphill or downhill terrains, allowing him or her to vary the exercise program and move various muscles.

People interested in bike riding for exercise need to be careful before starting a cycling regimen. A consultation with a physical fitness expert on what type of program is the most appropriate and what equipment to use is the first step that should be taken by those who like cycling exercises. Just like outdoor biking, indoor cycling can also cause injuries and pains if the program is not done right and the activity is not guided or sanctioned by a physical fitness expert.

Customer Review: Great Purchase
I am so happy with my Port & Company gym bag purchase. My son uses it for football so, he puts some pretty bulky items in it and it has been holding up just great. I also love that the straps are attached in multiple places, not just at the top where they can easily tear out, especially when being abused by a teenager. This item is built to last and the price was great!!!

Too many people, the idea of getting in shape involves heading to the gym, paying for an expensive membership which they may not use very often and doing whatever exercises seem like a good choice at the moment. The good news is that you do not have to go to the gym to get in shape; instead you may hire a personal fitness trainer.

Why Choose a Fitness Instructor?

There are number of reasons for how having your own fitness coach can do wonders for your ability to get in shape. The personal fitness trainer will be able to develop an exercise plan that fits your specific needs. The coach looks at where you are now in terms of fitness and develops a plan to get you moving.

He can also provide you with key exercises to help you work on your problem areas or to assist you in achieving specific goals. For example, if you are trying to build lean muscle mass, your physical fitness trainer can give you tips and strategies for doing it specifically.

Other Reasons to Choose this Route

When you have a trainer of your own, you do not have to go to the gym, he or she will bring the right fitness training session directly to you. He or she should have the equipment you will need and can bring it to your home or your office so you can get your exercise in the most convenient way possible.

Many people also like the idea of having these personal training sessions, especially when they are just starting out with a new exercise routine because they are embarrassed to be exercising in front of other people. At the gym, they will be surrounded by people who are already in great shape which can be intimidating for them.

Picking the Right Trainer

The final question is how to choose a trainer for your needs? As many trainers could be found online, choosing a right trainer is most important. Make sure that the fitness trainer you hire should be certified and professional having expertise in delivering specialized fitness training sessions.

Hire certified personal fitness trainer to deliver you focused and specialized personal training sessions at home in Berkshire, Windsor, Ascot, Marlow, Bucks and other places in UK.

Dear dailymuscle,

I'm 21 years old and trying to quit doing the unhealthy things I do to my body and here's my problem. I started smoking and drinking a couple of months ago (vodka), and last night was one of the nights I went overboard and drank way too much. I hate the terrible, worthless feeling I get the next day as I don't feel like training at the gym today due to this feeling. I just feel like staying in bed all day..

I know this is a stupid question but would smoking and drinking affect my gym training (I know it affects cardio cause it screws up your lungs)?

~the thirsty trainer

Dear thirsty trainer,

Thanks for writing in.

Drinking and smoking while trying to achieve practically any fitness goal are the exact opposites and dont mix. Drinking can compromise your goals especially if fatloss is one of them. I've read that the liver can take days to get rid of the alcohol in ones body and so one of its main jobs of filtering fat comes to a standstill and it packs it away for processing later (which never comes of course).

Still not convinced? Okay try this - have a can of beer (or any other alcoholic beverage) just before your workout and let me know if you have a productive workout.

It's a matter of priorities, especially at your young age of which path you want to choose. Many people think that they can counteract their smoking and drinking habits by doing enough exercise, not realising that they are only fooling themselves of the harm they are doing to themselves.

There is research out there that says alcohol in moderation has benefits, but I would not recommend anyone that doesn't drink to start solely for these benefits. Hey, Schwarzenegger smokes cigars too, however, I believe that they are the exceptions. I'd rather stay away from it if I were you.

You know what the right decision is - otherwise you wouldnt be asking about it here ;)

Good luck!

As you walk into a gym, there are many types of people working out or just hanging around for social hour, which can create a hectic mess of people. Trying to complete a workout around that many people can be intimidating, confusing, and downright frustrating, especially if they are sitting on the next machine you intend to use and socializing with the person next to them.

Walking up and asking how many sets they have left or if they are using that piece of equipment can become daunting, but can be an advantage for you to fluctuate your workout and try new unorthodox exercises not in your routine. If you were planning to use the leg press machine and someone is utilizing it for a long period, look around and see what is open for legs and do that instead of or while waiting for the leg press machine to become available. Do not just stand there and wait for the person to leave the machine because this takes time out of your workout and day and can be substituted by something different and is beneficial to your progression.

As I train clients during a busy time of day in the gym, I will constantly switch up exercises that are not on the training plan to keep the clients heart rate up and hit the muscles differently. The same goes for cardio, it is a great habit to change up your cardio routine from treadmill to stair master or the elliptical machine. Each piece of cardio equipment hits the body differently that will shock the body in a positive way.

Do not be intimidated by the possibilities that the gym has to offer. Trainers give clients training plans with specific exercises to give clients an outline of what they should be doing for that day. Creativity in a workout will spike motivation and change, which can take a boring and old workout routine to a fun and exciting one. So don't look at a busy gym and see what you can't do, but rather what you can do.

Do you need to create a diet or workout routine and don't know how to start or want to pay for a personal trainer?

Looking at elliptical machines? This is the time of year that most people choose to buy an elliptical trainer.

The good news for you is that elliptical trainers get better every year. There are 2 reasons for this:

#1) Competition - With more manufacturers entering the market, competition is fierce. Elliptical companies are scrambling to provide the best fitness gadgets and designs that they can - for as low a price as they can.

High competition may make it confusing for some buyers (so many choices!) However it's good in the sense that you're getting more bang for your buck than ever before.

#2) Buyers Researching On The Net - The rise of the Internet has helped manufacturers improve their models and give buyers more of what they want. I regularly speak to elliptical manufacturers who are upgrading their models because of what they've read on my site or other review sites.

New 2009 Elliptical Machines - What's Around The Corner:

So what can you expect for the new 2009 elliptical machines? Here are the 3 main ways I think elliptical machines will improve in the new year:

1) More Incline Models - Incline (also called Ramp or Power Ramp) used to be a feature only offered on $3000+ Precor models (Precor actually engineered the first elliptical with incline - called CrossRamp).

Incline is different from resistance. Resistance makes it harder or easier to push through the elliptical motion. Incline actually changes the slope of the elliptical pattern.

The advantage to this is that you work different sets of muscles, get a better overall workout and avoid overtraining. Incline has been trickling into the home market a little bit over the years however, you'll probably find that it will become a standard feature for the high end home brands in the New Year.

2) Better Online Pricing - While buying online has offered better prices for the past few years, there are more manufacturers now jumping on the bandwagon, selling direct to the consumer.

Margins are tight and manufacturers are looking for any chance they can get to beat out the competition. This will probably mean more direct-to-consumer selling with lower prices.

The buyer wins because they save money on store markup. Plus they don't have to drive around all over town to see a few different models. They just sit in their living room and shop from a much larger range of different models. With more to choose from, chances are higher that they'll find a better value buy.

3) Improved Entertainment Goodies & Fitness Tools - At the last fitness trade show I attended, there were some mind-blowing new features built into the new commercial ellipticals. TVs, stereos, iPod hookups and charging stations, interactive workout programs - it was like having your own personal trainer built into your elliptical.

And usually what starts in the commercial market, filters down to the home market. (For example, treadmills with TV's started in the commercial market and now there are several home units offering built-in TVs).

Manufacturers are looking for an edge - and turning a boring old elliptical into your personal entertainment station is a good way to get it.

While built-in TVs may still take a while, you're already seeing iPod docks, built in speakers and interactive workout programs in home units. With the new 2009 models you'll probably see more new elliptical models offering these entertainment goodies.

So those are 3 predictions for the new elliptical machines coming out in the New Year. If you're looking for new 2009 models, they usually start trickling out around late November of 2008 and into January 2009. Just remember to choose a high quality brand and properly designed elliptical that suits your fitness needs.

Are you a fitness and exercising beginner and want to get a little bit flatter stomach for starters? Not sure what you should do and how to exercise? I try to go through the basics of exercising and getting a slightly more slim figure and flatter stomach.

Starting out with eating. Everything in your body is related in a way or another to what you are eating and that layer of fat around your belly is proof of it. So if you want to get your body to look better, first look at your daily menu, what you eat and what you should eat. Get it first into condition and it is much easier after that to start molding your body into the way you want it to be.

After making your diet correct you should start to do cardio exercising. I mean just exercise where you burn fat and at the same time tone your body. Exercises where your heart rate goes up, like jogging, walking, bicycling, swimming, squash etc. There are plenty of different sports to choose from. Just make sure you exercise often enough, about 3 times a week of fat burning exercises should be enough.

So the last thing is to go to gym. You can do weight exercising at home if you have the needed equipment, but usually it is much more efficient to workout at gym. Do complete workouts and do not just do ab exercises, but you can emphasize on working out your abdominal muscles. The muscles gained from gym exercising will help your posture and make your figure more toned.

The main thing of getting a flatter stomach is not just to eat correct or do fat burning exercises or ab exercises, it is all of them combined. At the beginning going to gym isn't that important, since you can do different home ab exercises at your home. After a while when you feel like it is time, you can join a local gym and start exercising there.

An exercise bike workout can be more that just hopping on a bike and pedaling away. Now that isn't all bad. Any time you spend on your bike is of some benefit. But you can do a quick routine that will benefit you as much or more than pedaling at a slow pace for hours.

Don't underestimate the value of an exercise bike. You can use all kinds of exercise machines, many with electronics and gadgets. It's hard to beat a good exercise bike for a solid workout machine. If you want to burn fat and do a cardiovascular workout the exercise bike is a great tool.
A big plus of an exercise bike workout is that it not only works your heart and lungs but also your muscles. Working the major muscles of the legs is a great way to increase strength and boost your metabolism . Boosting your metabolism is the real key to long-term fat loss.

OK, for an aerobic workout shoot to increase your heart rate to about 70 percent of your maximum if you're more experienced. You may need to work up to that level. Then maintain that level of activity for at least 15 minutes. You can calculate your maximum heart rate. It's about 220 minus your age.

You can alter the resistance of your bike to target just the level you need to stay right in your training zone. And even if your exercise bike is a major part of your exercise program, you can blend in all other forms of exercise. Speed walk, jog, hike, row...any aerobic exercise that works for you is the thing to do. And by all means mix it up. Do all kinds of different exercises and you're less likely to get bored. Boredom is a killer of exercise programs. Get bored and you likely will quit. Quit exercise and you can make no progress.

Put some variety into your exercise bike workout. What about mixing in some dumbbell moves. Maybe you can't do this at a gym, you'll lose your machine, but you can at home. Ride a while then do some lifts, then back to the bike. The time you spend lifting, your heart rate will still be elevated and it will be almost as if you didn't stop. Your aerobic workout will be improved and your weight training workout will be too.

Also you can mix up the exercise bike ride by varying the pace or load. If your bike has programmable load variations, use those features. Throw in a simulated hill every few minutes. If you don't have programmable load variation, vary the pace of pedaling. Ride fast for a few minutes, then slow, then medium. Write down the exercise routine you will do. How many minutes slow warm-up then how many medium effort, how many fast and so on. Gradually build the pace up then back down, then up and back down. Make it challenging but stay within the heart rate range you choose. By varying the pace of your pedaling, you can get a great workout in only about 20 minutes.

A twenty minute workout is about the minimum time to get into the fat burning mode. With twenty minutes you can warm up for about 4 minutes, then go hard for twelve minutes and ease back on the pace for four minutes.

An exercise bike workout can improve your fitness, help you lose fat and just generally make you feel better.

Rodale Plan Gym on a Wall

The time consumed going to the gym along with the after-workout strain it brings, oftentimes gets in the way of getting healthy legs and back. It hampers the chance of lessening various back problems and greatly affects the efficiency of our good old legs. While some may just slack it off at home and do nothing about it, you can start the difference in you!

One must realize that the leading cause of back pains and problems as well as leg injuries are attributed to over use and under use of muscles. A sedentary lifestyle, improper posture, and even inexplicably weird sleeping positions may cause problems with the back. Over stretching and an inactive routine contribute to leg problems. Despite the hassles everyone thinks the exercise may involve, it is best that we use these essential parts of the body to its optimum level to avoid having troubles with it in the future because the advantages of an active lifestyle outweighs its disadvantages.

The importance of back exercises is undeniable. It does not only prevent back pains but also prevent injuries to one of the body's most vital organ the spinal cord. While slowly lessening the back problems, optimal levels of functionality of the back are achieved. On top of that, you also get to exercise your core muscle group meaning the abdomen. That is practically targeting two areas in one exercise.

The leg muscles exercise ultimate advantage is it increases the amount of circulation going to the legs. The leg is some distance away from the ultimate source of blood-the heart. When you exercise these areas, you increase its need for oxygen because the normal oxygen that passes the area is used up to form energy. It prompts the heart to pump more blood to bring oxygen to the cells of the legs. By this time, many serious circulatory problems are prevented including the fatal deep vein thrombosis or DVT.

A lot more health benefits are characteristic to leg and back exercises. Apart from preventing these muscle aches and joint problems, the aesthetic factors are to be considered too. Of course, who would not want those shapely legs and killer back muscles? Who would want to flaunt a leg with lesser cellulite on the outside and perfectly circulated inside? Who would not want a back devoid of pains and problems? Who would not want a healthy body in general? Who would not want a vigorous and fit life?

Start exercising your legs including to your backs not only for others but also for yourself. You are on your to flaunting the best back and the shapeliest legs! Exercise now and flaunt in the future! Make the difference and shift a healthy life now!

If you're thinking of buying an exercise bike, here are a few things to look out for to ensure you get a machine best suited to your needs and budget.

You can spend anything from 75 right up to 6,000 when buying a bike so you can imagine there's quite a difference in specification and features. But even if spending under 100 it's still a waste if you buy the wrong machine. If you're not comfortable with it, if it fails to excite, or you get bored on a basic bike, you're not going to use it! Your bike then becomes a bulky clothes hanger gathering dust in the corner.

And if you want to sell it on eBay don't be surprised if you get only a fraction of what you paid for it because you'll be up against many others who bought the wrong bike and never used it.

You then need to decide your main objective for buying a bike and consider whether it's the right machine for the current shape you're in.

Types of Exercise Bike

You have a choice between three types of bike:-
1. Upright bike - standard bike with conventional cycling position, takes up little space and delivers a good cardiovascular workout
2. Recumbent bike- sit in a horizontal position, more comfortable, better than upright for unfit, overweight or those recovering from illness or injury. Takes up more room than upright.
3. Spinning bike - for faster fat-burning, higher intensity workouts and interval training, also used by outdoor cyclists for out of season training.

The upright bike takes up the least amount of room and is generally less expensive as there's less complex machinery involved. Many consider the recumbent bike to be more comfortable as you can lean back in the seat and the horizontal position may be suitable for those recovering from injury or are over-weight. A recumbent bike is quite a easy way to do some light exercise at lower levels of resistance, it's also easy on your back.

The more recent spinning bikes (or racers) are designed for high intensity work-outs and tend to cost more, although there are now more affordable spinners coming onto the market. These machines can be great for increasing fitness whilst burning fat.

Types of Resistance (braking systems)

To provide a varied and challenging workout, a bike needs to have the ability to change the resistance on the pedals. This can simulate going up hills or coasting along in 5th gear. There are three main ways to do this.

1. Air - a fan builds up a flow of air and as you pedal faster it increases the resistance. The one disadvantage of this system is that you can only alter it by changing speed and therefore if you slow down so does the level of resistance.
2. Mechanical - friction is increased usually with a band around the flywheel which can offer high resistance and a tough workout. However, this needs to be altered by manually turning a dial and the system can suffer from wear and tear with regular use.
3. Magnetic - the most versatile braking system operated by pressing a button that alters the position of magnets to increase resistance. The main advantages are ease of use plus pre-set programmes can control the level and be used by heart rate control programmes to keep you in the fat-burning zone.

Pre-set Programmes

Most exercise bikes now come with pre-set programmes. These can take you through different types of sessions and will vary the resistance for set intervals to simulate hill climbing and interval training. More recently heart rate controlled programmes have become popular as they're an effective way to increase fitness and 'burn fat'. They work by varying the resistance level according to your heart rate (measured by polar chip or hand grips). If your rate drops below a certain level (based upon your age, weight and sex) the resistance increases, if it gets too high it lowers it.

Motivation is key to your success and the inclusion of a good selection of pre-sets on a bike help to vary your workouts and keep you coming back. So as a general rule the more programmes the better. Don't forget to check the bike's dimensions to see if it will fit through your doors and in the space you have set aside for it.

Conclusion:

If you do a bit of research and have a clear objective for using an exercise bike then you'll get the most suitable machine to achieve your goals.

14.But skipping rope can be frustrating or boring as after missing a few jumps. Even if you have a good stamina and maintain a good coordination, you fail to skip for more than 2 minutes. This is because your calves and Achilles tendons are stressed when you keep skipping in the same pattern and when they sting you start missing.

So to skip without missing you have to keep changing from a single bounce to a double bounce or to a skip or a jog or a knee up. You should keep changing the skipping style after every 30 seconds to avoid fatigue. To avoid a miss you can even do side skipping or rotating rope without jumping. This can be to warm you up in the start or to avoid any halt during the sets.

Riding a stationary bike is one of the most ideal low impact aerobic exercises if you are looking for an exercise program that isn't high impact, yet will yield the best results and multiple benefits. It helps burn fat and build muscle, without aggravating your limbs, spine, lower back and other body parts. Stationary bikes are also very convenient, allowing you to exercise whether it's night or day, sunny or rainy. And if you get bored, you can actually read, watch a movie or watch TV while still getting an adequate aerobic work out.

Bicycle riding is great for muscular flexibility and development, keeping your muscles not only toned but in perfect condition for all kinds of physical activity. It is also a great form of cardiovascular exercise, as it keeps the heart constantly pumping oxygen and other nutrients through your system. Aerobic exercise is also what burns calories and fat, as well as what produces natural endorphins, which acts as a pain reliever and anti-depressant.

Riding a stationary bike therefore helps you burn calories and lose weight, while keeping your muscles toned and flexible, promoting good circulation and is a natural pain reliever. Of course, aerobic exercise can be attained through other workout schemes, but stationary biking offers the least stress on ligaments and joints and the most pain-relieving compared to these other possibilities.

Additionally, the movements deployed when pedaling a bicycle tones specific leg and thigh muscles that will help strengthen the back, not only helping to heal your back pain, but priming you to be strong enough to keep it from returning.

There are two kinds of stationary bikes: Upright Exercise Bikes, which most resemble real bicycles, and Recumbent Exercise Bikes, which are ergonomically designed for further comfort. Stationary Recumbent bikes have saddle seats with a back support, built especially for those with lumbar problems and lower back pain.

Although recumbent bikes are more ergonomically correct than the original upright model, some stationary exercise bikers prefer the upright as it gives the feeling of being on an actual bicycle. On these you can keep lower back pain at bay by leaning forward towards your handlebars and keeping your spine aligned as you pedal away.

Aside from all the benefits that have already been listed, using a stationary bike is bound to be the most enjoyable means of exercise that you can encounter, it's fun. Whether you like to bike while watching the morning news or you get that thrill of being twelve again and speeding fast through your neighbors' backyards, you'll be surprised at how long you'll be riding your stationary exercise bike. Double the benefits with half the effort, that is why stationary bikes are the best.

Brain Gym for Business: Instant Brain Books for On-The-Job Success

An indoor exercise bike is a great way to shape, even if the weather does not want to cooperate. You can use an exercise bike in rain, sleet, or snow. The cardio benefits you receive from an indoor exercise bike are another huge plus too, in fact, an exercise bicycle may just be one of the best all around pieces of home workout equipment you can invest in.

Indoor exercise bikes come in two varieties, upright and recumbent. An upright bike is the closest to a regular road bike that you are probably familiar with. The rider is seated in an upright position with the pedals directly below the seat. A recumbent bike differs from an upright in the way the rider is seated in a reclined position with the pedals out in front. A recumbent bike is easier to ride for people that have back troubles or are obese.

Which ever type of indoor exercise bike you are interested in be assured that you will be able to equip it with all kinds of gadgets to make riding even easier and more enjoyable. For example, many bikes come with sophisticated electronics to vary the resistance of the pedals, and will keep track of the miles pedaled and calories burned.

If you do get an indoor exercise bike, you will be able to workout while watching your favorite TV show, while reading, or while listening to music. You won't have to travel to a gym for your workout either, an exercise bike has a small footprint, and you can have one in your house without loosing much space.

Modern indoor exercise bikes have come a long way from the rickety, barely usable bike that your neighbor had tucked away in their basement. If you are looking for a great way to stay in shape easily and in the comfort of your home, take a look at the bikes that are available today.

An indoor exercise bike is a great way to keep in shape. If you are considering purchasing one, check out all the options and features that are available. Visit indoor exercise bike information to see for yourself.

Propet Women's Tour Walker Strap Oxford

Comfortable and casual, the Tour Walker strap oxford from Propet will have you feeling great with each and every step. Its perforated upper will give you total breathability while its easy Velcro straps will keep the best fit. Its padded lining and footbed will keep you at ease whether you're power walking or just living your busy everyday lifestyle.
Customer Review: Comfortable Easy To Adjust Walking Shoe
The shoe itself is comfortable for my long walks and the velcro allows me to make quick adjustments that prevent me from making the shoe too tight.
Customer Review: Stiff, clunky shoes
I bought these shoes at regular price, in my regular size, at another website. When they arrived, they were clearly too small, either cut skimpily or missized. The Velcro tabs were so short they could barely be fastened. I couldn't even walk in them. I returned them and bought a similar shoe in another well known name brand, in my regular size/width. No problem. Later, when I saw these shoes marked down at Amazon.com, I ordered them again (the price was so low, how could I not?), this time a half size larger. STILL too small - a bit short for my big toe, a bit snug for the ball of my left foot, the Velcro straps still too short - and all very stiff, awkward, and clunky. At best, they would have needed stretching and some serious break-in time. A flexible, supportive shoe that runs true to size should not require that, IMO. So - I have learned my lesson and would not buy these shoes again in any size, anywhere.

Build Your Strength First

It is much safer and much easier to make build sufficient strength first to perform the skills you are trying to learn. If you are not strong enough, you will never be able to do many gymnastics skills no matter how many times you try. Building strength also makes you safer in potentially dangerous fall situations.

Pay Attention

You need to be aware of what is going on around you in the gym if there are other gymnasts, especially bigger ones, around. You need to be aware and pay attention to everything and everyone around you who might crash into you or land on you. You also need to pay careful attention to your coach so you understand exactly what they expect of you to learn efficiently and keep yourself safe.

Check Equipment First

Make sure all equipment is set and sturdy before you begin to perform any skills on it. Handles and cables need to be tight enough so the equipment is safe for you to be on. Dont assume the equipment is correctly set and tight. Check it an make sure first.

Know Fall Zones

Dont sit or stand in potential landing or fall zones. Too often gymnasts waiting for their turn do not stay enough out of the way of other gymnasts who need adequate room to dismount or a place to fall.

Dont Do Gymnastics By Yourself

Just like swimming and other physical activities where there is even the remotest chance of injury, gymnasts should only work out when there is at least one other person around. This means on those home trampolines, too.

Dont Spot Other Gymnasts

Spotting is an art and requires the knowledge, strength and experience of a gymnastics professional. Any error in judgement on your or their part could lead to you being involved and responsible for their potentially serious injury.

Only Let Professional Coaches Spot You

By the same token, you should only let qualified gymnastics professionals spot you on skills you cannot do and need help with. You risk potentially serious injury by being spotted or coached by someone who is not qualified, knowledgeable, experienced or strong enough.

Dont Be Afraid to Ask for a Spot

Ask for a spot if you are doing tricks if you need or want it. You are the one most likely to know and remember if you need a spot or not and it will be too late if you attempt a skill you are not sure of and fall. Spotting can protect you and build your confidence in doing the skill until you are ready to do it on your own safely. Dont tell a coach that you can do skills if you are not 100% sure you can do them safely.

Stop, Look And Listen

Just like crossing a street, when you approach an equipment area, the floor exercise mat, tumbling strips or other mats and pieces of equipment, you need to stop and look both ways before you cross or enter to make sure you are not in the way or going to get landed on.

Watch Where You are Going

Watch where you are walking. Nothing is more embarrassing and sometimes painful and dangerous than falling over mats, into pits, over bar cables, etc. There are lots of obstacles in every gym like different heights and softness levels of mats.

Champion Women's Champion Women'S Seamless Racerback Sports Bra

This Champion O2 Cool Seamless Racerback bra features high support that's ideal for your most intense workouts!

There are many different pieces of exercise equipment that you can buy to use in your home. One type of machine has been around for many years and still remains a good choice for getting in shape in your home without having to join a gym or even go outside. The exercise bike is still a wonderful choice for you to use to get into shape while you are in the comfort of your own home.

There are a number of reasons that people choose to have exercise equipment in their home. First, many people are too busy to head off to the gym at the end of a long day of work. It is much simpler to go home and workout in your own home without having to spend your time traveling to the gym and then driving home after you are finished with your workout. When you are trying to find the time in your busy schedule to workout, an exercise bike in your home can be the perfect solution.

Another reason that some people choose to workout in their home instead of a gym is the atmosphere. Someone who is not interested in dressing in the latest workout gear or looking great while they are going through the strain of getting in shape will choose to workout on an exercise bike in their home in the workout clothes that are the most comfortable.

Having your exercise bike set up in your home so that you can workout whenever you want in the privacy of your own home is the ideal for many people. You will be able to watch your favorite television program while you are working on your figure. For many people this is enough to get them on the exercise bike and working out when they would otherwise be sedentary.

The exercise bike of today is not as simple as they once were. You can choose a model that will keep track of your heart rate, the calories that are burned, the number of miles traveled, and your miles per hour. Many of the bikes on the market will also give you a good workout for your arms so that you can move more parts of your body while you are working out with an exercise bike. If you have been thinking about getting in shape, an exercise bike might just be the solution that you have been looking for.

Exercises for all ages

Let's get this right: Wii Fit is for all ages. An elaborate Setup guides you through your first steps and helps configuring the Board. You go through a test to find out your Body-Mass Index and body control skills. Wii Fit shows you your personal Wii Fit age. But don't you worry, even if you seem to be old enough to collect your pension according to the machine, it will stay right at your side on your way to a Fitness Professional.

Motivation

More than 50 different exercises, ranging from Yoga, muscle gain, aerobic and balance are available. A virtual Personal Trainer assists you, showing difficult Yoga exercises and explaining complicated movements. Clever motivation by incentives make you stay on the board for hours, while your PT gives you the heads up with spoken reassurances. Little tricky balance games like ski jumping challenge folks to go for the big points.

The Sweat Factor

Don't you believe Wii Fit is for the women folk or Sunday Sports Fans only. After a few correctly executed exercises you'll find yourself sweating really good. Now, your next door body builder probably won't find Wii Fit especially rewarding, but then this might not be exactly the targeted costumer. But, if you want to regularly work out from the comfort of your home, this is definitely worth a try.

A little hint at the end: You should get yourself some spare AA rechargeable batteries and a charger. If you use Wii Fit regularly, it runs out of juice too fast. This can be annoying, believe me.

OK, this might not be a sole substitute for outdoor activities and other sports altogether, but it's a very good resource for funny and even entertaining exercises, which will do you good, no doubt about it. And it sure beats endless and boring hours on the running board or on your fitness bike.

There are lots of pieces of exercise equipment out there for home use, but how many will fit into a small apartment? Most are huge, unwieldy and - it has to be said - downright ugly! How many times have you been embarrassed when a relative has stayed over and had to share the spare room with a monstrosity of an exercise machine? And even then, having the beast squatting in the spare room like a huge toad (the exercise machine, not the relative!) doesn't mean you'll use it. I had a superb exercise bike and ended up draping the laundry over it instead of pedalling it.

Well now there's the T-Bow. An amazingly versatile piece of exercise kit that can be used in the smallest of spaces, and cleared away into a closet in a trice when your workout is over.

Exercising is essential for our health and well-being, but how many of us, with our busy lives, can make time to visit the gym? Not me, for starters, and I teach this stuff! I always end up paying exorbitant monthly fees and never getting there - which adds guilt at wasting money to the problem. Last time I made it, I had only 22 minutes (exactly) to do a workout in!

So I'm always excited to come across home exercise equipment that doesn't take up much space or cost the earth, and that gives a full-body workout.

The T-Bow fits the bill perfectly.

It's made of a high-quality polymer, and shaped in a curve, with a mat surface on top, and gaps at the sides to fit exercise bands through. Totally simple, and totally brilliant; using the T-Bow you can do cardio exercise for fat-burning, attach resistance bands for muscle-sculpting, and also do core exercises for toned, beautiful abs. Not only that, the T-Bow is perfect for Pilates, creating long, lean muscles and re-aligning your posture for that perfect silhouette!

I've been recommending the T-Bow to all my Personal Training clients, and they've been amazed at how much fun it is. Yes, Fun! Workouts with the T-Bow can be as varied as you want to make them - no more long, boring sessions on a treadmill.

Here's how it works:

  • Curve side up, the T-Bow is stable and can be used as a Step. 20 minutes of brisk Stepping burns 200+ calories and tones leg and butt muscles. Add light handweights and tone upper body as well.
  • Turn the T-Bow curve side down and stand on the edges. Now rock from side to side - feel that in those thigh muscles! And because you need to balance, your core muscles all switch on, working those abs and burning even more calories. It feels like a cross between skating and surfing and reminds me of being a kid again!
  • Turn curve side up again and slide in the easy-to-use elastic bands for the same toning benefits as a weights session
  • Get down on the floor! Lean or lie on the T-Bow's curve side for a great Pilates workout to sculpt those hard-to-reach muscles of the abs and back for great posture and wonderful toned leanness!

My name is Carol J Bartram and I am a qualified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. I've tried many pieces of home exercise equipment during my professional career in an effort to help my clients reach their health and fitness goals.

The T-Bow Exercise System is in my opinion one of the best pieces of equipment I've ever seen. I use it with all my Personal Training clients and they get great results. It is simple to use and gets the job done. I own 18 of them and also use them in my private Pilates classes.

If you could only afford one piece of home exercise equipment make it The T-Bow; it comes with exercise bands and an inspiring DVD, making it really great value for money. Everyone knows that the best cardio workouts that produce the best results require pounding the pavement (or the treadmill) for up to an hour at a time...wrong! Unfortunately, this seems to be a misconception that can put your weight loss efforts at a standstill and leave you incredibly frustrated.

As a personal trainer, I am confident that performing your cardio session in the form of interval training will blow your weight loss plateau out of the water. As a mom, I am even more excited to tell you that it is going to require less time at the gym. I know what you're thinking...sounds too good to be true.

Let me explain. Over time your body has the ability to adapt to long sessions of steady pace cardio. As a result, your body will conserve energy and burn fewer calories (plateau). On the other hand, interval cardio keeps your body guessing. Since a greater demand is placed on your body during the workout, your metabolism can increase by up to 15 times its basil metabolism (Making the Cut, Jillian Micheals). It also produces an "after burn" effect meaning that your metabolic rates stays elevated for hours after an intense interval session in an effort to return itself to its pre-workout state. Such energy is not required after a long low-intensity cardio session. In addition, long sessions can actually sacrifice your hard earned muscle if you're not careful. Remember, the more muscle you have the more calories you burn throughout the day.

So, what do I mean by interval training? Interval training revolves around regular bursts of intensity followed by longer periods of recovery. For example, your treadmill workout might consist of 30 seconds at a high intensity (fast run) followed by 90 seconds at a lower intensity (jog). You would repeat that cycle 6-8 times. The good news is a workout of this type shouldn't take any more than 15-20 minutes and it can be performed on any type of cardio machine. So, with a warm up, a cool down and even some stretching you should be out of the gym (or off the pavement) within 25-30 minutes. The bad news...well, it's not really bad news. You just should not perform this type of intense weight loss workout on consecutive days in order to prevent injury and let your body recover. Two to three times a week is plenty. That means there is still a place for those long distance runs 1-2 times a week that we love so much...or is that just me?

Remember, weight loss comes down to burning more calories than we take in. Yes, you're going to have to sweat and get out of your comfort zone a little. However, the results are worth it and more time with family is a bonus!

Nike Alabama Crimson Tide Crimson Drawstring Gym Sack

Haul your gear in style with this team Drawstring Gym Sack from Nike!

"I walk into the gym and get on the treadmill. I hit the start button and set an incline of 5% and walk at 3.5mph while watching the big screen TV on the wall".

Does this sound like you? Then you are not doing what it takes to lose fat efficiently.

Fat loss comprises of 3 main factors. Get them right and you will shift those unwanted pounds. They are:

1: A well balanced diet
2: Strength Training
3: High intensity interval training (HIIT)

Today I am going to discuss the effectiveness of HIIT. For years we have seen the people in the gym spending all their time slogging away for an hour on the treadmill or bike at a low intensity. They look the same as they did when they joined two or three years ago. Well whats the problem, they will tell you they work in the "fat burning zone" so why is it they don't lose weight?

Well the fat burning zone is an intensity were the main fuel for exercise is fat, however is that the most efficient. The answer is a big fat no!

There is a more efficient way to burn fat. It is using HIIT. So what does this involve? Well this is when you exercise as hard as you can for a short period of time (15-45 seconds) and then have a recovery period (60-120 seconds) at a lower intensity.

This type of training allows you to burn more calories in a shorter period of time as well as increases the amount of calories you can burn after the exercise period.

Here is an example workout for an indoor bike:

Warm up: 5 mins easy intensity

30 seconds hard intensity

90 seconds easy intensity

Repeat intervals 6 times. Then finish with a 5 minute cool down at an easy intensity.

Who else wants to know how to pick up those sexy, fit babes at the gym? To be honest, picking women up at the gym is not meant for everyone. But if you want to learn, I would be glad to help you out. In the end, seduction is all about being prepared for the various situations which you encounter women in. Read on.

How to Pick Up Girls at the Gym

As I mentioned before, this is not for everyone. If you want to be successful with gym pickup, you may have a lot of work ahead of you.

1. Get Ripped

This is a pretty obvious one. The main concept of pickup is dominance. You need to be an alpha male.

To be an alpha male at the gym you are going to need to need to have a good body. You are not going to be very successful with the babes if you are pasty white and only weigh 110 pounds.

You should be working out anyways. However, if you are not a big guy yet, you can cover this up by using some dominant body language.

2. Tunnel Vision

When you hit up the gym, do not go there looking like a predator. In other words, you need to go there for a REAL workout. Women will pick up on your vibes if you are just there to score some numbers.

Focus on your workout and run some routines on women during your rest intervals. This will make it seem a lot more casual and will allow them to let their defenses down.

Beware: You may run into your share of "slightly angry" women when you try and run some routines on them. Remember that the gym is a place for working out. There are a lot of women who will just want to focus on the task at hand.

And Remember...

You do NOT want to be one of the MILLIONS of men who completely RUINS his chances with a woman before he even OPENS his mouth. Research has proven repeatedly that 93% of communication is conveyed through body language. Master the magical art of making her quiver with only your body language...and you will NEVER have to worry about her even THINKING about rejecting you...this much I know for sure.
