Everyone knows that it is very important to be as fit and healthy as we can possibly be. However, working out is one of those things that most people tend to take for granted. There are some people who take their work outs very seriously, on the other hand, there are those people who do just the bare minimum. For others, the phrase "working out" conjures up images of people sweating in a smelly gym pushing enormous weights for hours. While the latter may be true in some cases, aerobic exercises does not have to mean spending hours at the gym. Just thirty minutes a day of an elevated heart rate could mean you are less likely to suffer from heart related diseases. If that isn't an incentive, then what is? Performing aerobics has far more benefits and if you truly want to be healthy, then you should add aerobics into a work out routine.

There are some people who prefer to target specific parts of their body with aerobic workouts. Although this is perfectly all right, it is also crucially important to have a routine which works on your entire body. Entire body work outs have tremendous benefits. Not only will your body strengthen, you will find that your body feels energized, you will feel that you are more relaxed and find that you sleep better and your thoughts are clearer. This is because your brain will be receiving fresh oxygenated blood. You will feel less tired during the day.

Take a look at the many benefits associated with aerobic exercise. You need to get motivated to reap the rewards of aerobic exercise. This is how your body responds to aerobic exercise.

While performing aerobic exercise, you will repeatedly be moving the large muscles in your arms, legs and hips. Aerobic fitness is also called cardiovascular fitness, which refers to the ability of your heart, blood vessels and lungs (the cardiovascular system) to supply fuel during sustained physical activity. When you are aerobically fit, your body is more efficient and takes in and uses oxygen to sustain movement more efficiently. To be able to sustain repetitive muscle movement, your body needs to:

  • Take in more oxygen. You breathe faster and more deeply to maximize the amount of oxygen in your blood stream.
  • Pump blood faster and more forcefully. To enable the production of energy and to be able to deliver oxygen more effectively to the rest of your body, your heart beats faster. The force of each beat of your heart increases to maximize blood flow to your muscles and back to your lungs.
  • Increase the diameter and number of small blood vessels. To enable more oxygen to your muscles, small blood vessels (capillaries) dilate and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. Over time, more capillaries will actually develop in the muscle to provide for more efficient oxygen delivery and waste removal. This happens rather quickly.
  • Avoid overheating. Your body warms up as you repeatedly move your muscles. To compensate for the rise in temperature, your body releases heat into the air as you breathe out. You will also lose heat, water and minerals as you sweat.
  • Release endorphins. Regular aerobic exercise releases endorphins, these are your body's natural painkillers.
  • When you are working on your entire body, there are several things that you have to keep in mind. First of all, you should be sure that you are working each of your muscle groups and that you are working all of them for an extended period of time. The absolute minimum is 30 minutes. This is, sadly, something that some people fail to do and it can result in uneven and unhealthy training.

The most beneficial aerobics that you can do are going to be aerobics where you work each of your muscles successively. Remember that you have to have a session where your heart is pumping, and so a good thing to do is to be constantly moving while you are doing your aerobics routine. This way, you will be moving each of your muscles. The best whole body workout would be to start at a brisk walk on the spot. Once you get your heart rate up and going, you can then start to work your other muscles. With your arms, do repetitive reaches into the sky. This will will target your arms. While at the same time, begin to do some leg stretches. This will target your lower body, and then you can do side to side movements which will work on your abdomen.

The best way to get a full body workout is simply to remember to include each of your muscle groups in all that you do. Failure to remember this will result in your aerobics not being very helpful to you. Above all, think of including all your muscles during your workout and you will be losing weight and feeling fit and healthier in no time at all.

Every month, it seems like there is a hot new ab machine product out on the market. Most of them claim to give you the beautiful hard sculpted abs you've always dreamed of. However, if your like me and have purchased any of these machines in the past, you may have been disappointed with quite a few of them. Unfortunately, many of these machines don't work your abdominal area any better than traditional crunches. The Ab Coaster is the latest one of these products to come out recently. However, unlike all the other products out there this machine seemed to be somewhat different.

Despite my initial instincts, I was extremely tempted to give this ab machine a try and see if it could live up to my expectations. Unlike many other exercise machines for working out the abs, this machine utilizes a completely different range of motion. I found the workout very similar to hanging leg raises, rather than the usual assisted crunches that other ab equipment tend to provide.

The Ab coaster basically works off of an arc of steel. The knee and arm pads are extremely comfortable and helps you get out every single repetition possible. I consider this a huge plus, because it prevents you from finishing your workout early due to discomfort. I found no strain on the neck, back, or arms whatsoever. However, when using this machine it is very important to make sure you lift yourself up with your legs and not your arms to truly benefit from this exercise.

Overall, I consider this a great machine. It is definitely effective and easy to use. The quality of the equipment is phenomenal, and I don't see anything on it that will break down from normal use.

For more information and details about the Ab Coaster you can visit this page Ab Coaster Review.

Exercise Resistance Bands - Top 5 Things You Must Know Before You Spend a Dime on Exercise Bands

Here's how exercise resistance bands can help you achieve your fitness goals!

Most people want to have a lean, ripped muscular body, but what stands in their way? Well for one thing -- time. Then there's the issue of what is the best training program to use to achieve a "fitness model" type body.

And finally, there is always the issue of -- money!

That's where exercise resistance bands come in. Just like the most expensive in home gym's -- like both Bowflex and Total Gym -- but for nowhere near the price... you can get a complete total body workout in the convenience of your home just using exercise resistance bands.

Here are the most important features you want in your exercise resistance bands:

    1. The ability to add more than one band to the handles

    2. The ability to attach the bands to your door in order to increase the number of exercises you can perform

    3. A Warranty -- Preferably a full replacement lifetime warranty.

    4. Videos or complete photographs of exactly how to perform each of the exercises.

    5. Training support.

These are the five most important features you want in your exercise resistance bands. Of the five above these three I believe are the most important to have in a good quality set of exercise resistance bands.

Let's discuss these 3 in more detail:

1- The ability to add more than one band to the handles --

This is probably the most important feature of all. Just like dumbbells the ability to add additional resistance instead of having to have a whole bunch of resistance bands hanging around... is really critical. With the ability to add multiple resistance bands to the handles you will be able to increase the resistance without having to purchase more resistance bands.

    2- Door attachment --

The door attachment is one of the most ingenious creations because it allows you to perform many more exercises with resistance bands. It works almost like a cable machine, you know one of those fancy one defining your health club. They are simple to use and allow you to perform exercises like the bench press both incline and decline. This one attachment will increase the number of movements that you will be able to perform by at least 60%.

    3- Warranty --

Exercise bands much like rubber bands can loose their strength from use and from aging. So choose a set of resistance bands that offers you a minimum of a five-year warranty against defects.

Make sure that the resistance bands you use are from a good quality manufacturer. Bands that are of poor quality... similar to plain old "rubber bands" --lose their elasticity over time

Fitness strength training multigyms are more effective than resistance band training for several reasons. A good multigym has several advantages over resistance band training. These include:

    Established resistance, no "cheating"

With resistance bands, you are working against your own strength and resistance. The less you resist, in other words, the less effective your workouts are. This means, you can "cheat" yourself by not resisting enough and therefore not working out hard enough to build real muscle mass.

With fitness strength training multigyms, your workouts are established for you and you simply set the weight you want to work at. It doesn't matter how much or how little you want to push yourself; you're simply set to work at the established weight you've set, so that there is no "cheating." Therefore, with a multigym, you have to provide the resistance to the weight you've set. This can help you see results much more quickly.

    No setup required

In addition, with resistance bands, you work with your own weight and it can be cumbersome at some points to have to assume different positions with the resistance bands to achieve the exercises you want. With your multigym, everything you need is right there, ready to go. You simply set the weight you want to work with, and do the workout. And with so many different exercises available on the multigym, you can work every major muscle group in your body, for the best results possible.

    Convenient

Your multigym is right there, ready to go, whenever you're ready. Simply go through the exercise program you have established, finish up in about 20-30 minutes, and you're done. The more convenient a workout is to do, the more likely you are to stay with it. Although, once you are seriously working toward fitness strength trainingyour workouts will usually be about one hour in length.

    Whole body exercise

With resistance band training, it's very, very difficult to make sure you get whole body exercise, so that every muscle group in your body is challenged. With a multigym, though, you get every exercise you need for whole body fitness.

Measure progress with an established routine

What your multigym right there, you can establish an exercise routine for yourself three days a week to make sure you stay in the best shape possible. With resistance band training, it's much more difficult to measure your progress, since you're only working against yourself. A multigym gives you the capability to measure real progress as you go along because your weight resistance increases. This, in turn, will motivate you to greater success.

    Correct positioning

A multigym is going to automatically put you in the correct position for each of the exercises you do. By contrast, with resistance band training, it's very easy to get into improper form, which means that you can injure yourself much more easily. Therefore, an established gym setup is better for you; it helps you learn and maintain proper form right from the beginning. You'll get better results, too.

Less chance of injury means better consistency

Because a multigym is going to give you less chance of injury than resistance band training will, you're much more likely to stick with training. If you injure yourself, you'll have to halt your workouts - at least for a while. This can be a death knell when it comes to remaining consistent with your workouts. And of course, even if you do pick back up after your injuries have healed, you'll have lost some ground in your workouts; better not to get injured in the first place, then.

What you need to get started

A multigym such as the Powerline Home Gym, the BSG10X, can get you started. It's easy to put together and comes almost fully assembled, with just a few tweaks to make sure it's ready to go for you. It comes with a 160 pound adjustable weight stack, adjustable leg developer and press arm stations, and high, mid and low pulleys, so that you can perform 40 exercises safely and stay absolutely correctly positioned.

Everything you need, in one place

You also get an abdominal harness, a 48-inch lat bar, and a low row bar. Simply put, you have everything you need, for a very reasonable price. Why not give it a try today? Take the first step, beyond your daydreams.

Don't think that Fitness Strength Training is only about building muscle. It's a way of life! You can get the best Fitness Strength Training equipment on the market by Body Solid - at the LOWEST prices today. Check out our sale on multigyms now!

Ever thought about getting a stationary bike? They provide many benefits These bikes have been around for years, and they are still an excellent way to get some cardio and get your heart rate up! They run in price from $100-$500; it just depends on the model you are looking to get.

If you are looking to get up in the morning and go for a morning run, then look into purchasing a treadmill. Treadmills are great for people who live where it snows, or live in rather hot climates. Not only are they weather convenient, they are also personally convenient, if you do not want to be seen running, or you are just a little self conscious. Treadmills these days are relatively inexpensive as well, and ca be folded up and stored in a closet when not in use!

There is so much fitness equipment out there, that it can get a little bit confusing on what is right for us when it comes to purchasing. The best way to pick out the right fitness equipment is by figuring out what type of fitness you actually want to do on a daily basis. If you are looking for some cardio work outs, then look into a stationary bike or a treadmill. And if you are looking to tone your muscles, then look into getting a weight set as well as a weight bench. You can find any type of fitness equipment you want as long as you know what to look for!

Only 24 hours in a day and so many things to do; all this definitely puts a lot of stress and pressure on people these days. Every day we strive to balance our professional and personal lives, sometimes we succeed and sometimes we do not, but in most cases stress seems to overpower the person struggling to cope with it.

Unfortunately, this is reality for most of us; and not only is it unfortunate, it is also dangerous for both our mind and body, as continuous stress for a prolonged period of time can potentially lead to several health complications like, high blood pressure, heart problems, mental depression, etc. Therefore, it is very important to manage stress in order to avoid such health complications.

Exercising is one of the best ways to deal with relieving and releasing stress. There are several exercises that you can do to help you reduce stress; one of the most effective exercises is walking or jogging. But in your tightly scheduled life you hardly have time for yourself and it becomes quite a task to make time for exercising.

If you don't have the time to join a gym or go walking, then consider buying a treadmill for yourself. Having a treadmill at home will help you walk, run, jog every day while you catch up with the news in the morning before going to work or while watching your favorite television show in the evening. You may be tired after a long day's work but walking for about 30 minutes or so will help you release most the stress from your system making you feel much more relaxed and fresh.

Using a treadmill has several benefits; here are just a few: It helps with blood circulation, which in turn supplies adequate amount of oxygen to all your body organs helping them to function better. Walking also helps in the production of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. These not only help in relaxing your mind and body but also help you concentrate better. Makes you feel fresh and re-energized. Helps you get proper sleep at night Helps improve your mood by releasing endorphins in the body. All these benefits together contribute towards one big benefit of releasing stress. It has been observed that most heart problems are the result of stress anxiety or other forms of stress. Therefore, it is very crucial for one to know how to manage stress efficiently in order to lead a stress free and a healthier life. I agree, it is difficult to totally eliminate stress from our lives, but reducing stress is very much in our hands, provided you work towards it.

In conclusion, exercise is probably the best form of stress-busting there is and if you can not find time to head to the gym or even the park for some good old fashioned sweating, buy a treadmill and crank out the miles towards a stress free life.

The Schwinn 131 upright exercise bike has several advantages. Like many Schwinn bikes, it's moderately priced. There are many cheaper bikes, but many buy this Schwinn instead. It's size is an advantage as are the electronics and the adjustments for fit. Here are the details.

The upright Schwinn 131 exercise bike is a good choice if your space is limited where you ride. That's because the upright bikes take up much less room than a recumbent. They take less room than many other machines too, like treadmills for example. Also the upright is usually relatively light in weight so they're easier to move around too. Now you certainly don't want a machine that's too light though.

You see the heavier exercise bikes are more stable. That means they won't rock and sway as you pedal. Heavier machines, like commercial bikes in a gym, tend to last longer too. If a bike moves a lot while you're pedaling, it will work loose and come apart. Now the 131 weighs in at about 80 pounds so it's heavy enough to be quite stable, but not so heavy it's hard to move. It's a good compromise.

Another key feature is the electronics. You see boredom stops many folks from pedaling an exercise bike. The electronics that will make a workout more interesting are the programmable workouts. This model has a good selection of workouts. You get 8 preset courses and 10 profiles with 16 resistance levels. The drive is designed so it's quiet too.

You can monitor your workout with the large LCD display which shows you all kinds of data including distance covered, calories burned, and speed. There's even a built-in pulse monitor. The display is praised by owners for it's ease of use.

Now there are all kinds of exercise equipment choices. Very popular now are elliptical machines for example. Yet many people still buy exercise bikes. That's because an exercise bike is simple and easy to use. Few other machines offer more value and let you do a more effective workout. If you're considering an upright bike, the Schwinn 131 upright exercise bike is a solid choice.

Get more details about the Schwinn 131 Upright Exercise Bike at our website. To learn more about other exercise bikes, you're invited right now to visit http://ExerciseBikeFitness.com

When it comes to gizmos, gadgets and workouts that aim to exercise and develop the muscles in our abdomen, you could select from too many. If you dream of having a sleek and trim body without any of the love handles, then you must try out series of abdominal exercise routines to achieve this. Speaking of gadgets, there are even abdominal exercise balls available in the gyms to help you achieve your dreams.

First off, if you were to enter a program to exercise your abs, be aware that better ones involve intensified muscular overload with progressive and steady increase in concentration. Whatever routine or gadget, like the abdominal exercise ball, you use, make sure that you undertake it carefully for your back to be sufficiently supported.

Abdominal exercise balls are great gadgets for abs training to assist you in developing strong stomach and back muscles. Thus, your chances of being tormented by back pains are highly slim. You will also be given enough protection against unexpected injuries because you will tend to develop efficient response to the body's stress.

Before you start doing routines using the abdominal exercise ball, make sure that you know a bit of the muscles in your abdominal region.

The muscle, which stretches through your stomach from the ribs and into the hips, is what we call the Rectus abdominis. It has internal and external obliques that run down through the sides of your waist. These obliques help your rectus abdominis when performing curl and twist exercises. Your abs exercises must aim to harden or tone down the muscles in this area.

Furthermore, those body fats that build up and cover your abdominal muscles should be eliminated. Aside from exercising in the gym and performing day-to-day tasks that gear towards these, you also have to maintain an eating plan that would largely benefit your abs. By taking in more protein and less of carbohydrate-rich foods, you will be on the right track towards eliminating flabby abs.

Of course, you have to do this diet along with faithful and sensible exercises and abdomen strengthening trainings.

Who says you need thousands of dollars just to get fit at home? These days, the cost of home gyms is much more reasonable and quite affordable even for the average home. A little imagination, practical common sense and research will come a long way to help you achieve the home gym of your dreams at a budget. Here's how:

    Consider buying the most basic.

Most first time home gym owners make the mistake of getting carried away when buying their own home fitness equipment. They jump right in and buy the most complete, multi-function machine that beckons from the display room of a store. This is impractical and very costly.

The reason is that multigyms, apart from being quite expensive, offer multiple exercise or workout options. High-end ones even let you vary your workout routines by allowing you to do 50 to 60 exercise regimens. For the first-timer, this can be very overwhelming. Most beginners can do well with at least 3 and a maximum of 10 exercise routines to get a total body workout AND strength training as well. The result? You have an exercise machine that sits there, not fully optimized.

A better thing to do is to buy the most basic equipment first and expand progressively. This will allow you to add more features and equipment as your fitness levels change and improve. That way, you'll buy only what you need and can afford, at least for the time being.

Go for fewer bells and whistles.

For majority of home gym equipment, you will get what you pay for. However, that shouldn't stop you from keeping an eye on your budget. Losing weight and keeping fit generally requires you to purchase machines that allow cardiovascular equipment. The bad news is, this type of equipment will cost you. The good news is, you can do something about it.

Probably one of the cheaper cardio equipment available today that are effective and easy to use are stationary bikes. Inexpensive ones can cost from about $100 to around $180. The price range may be a bit steep for the budget conscious but remember that cardio exercise equipment are a good investment, so it's best to look for quality, performance and endurance. Just don't look for a lot of features, though.

If you prefer treadmills, there are options that cost around $150. These are generally self-powered (meaning, there is no motor that will move the conveyor belt) and you're usually limited to walking - no running or even jogging. You could power-walk, though and if paired with weights, this type of budget home gym equipment will do nicely for your fitness goals.

There are also cheaper alternatives to the generally-expensive ellipticals. Prices can range from around $280 to $430. Low-end ones do the job but they're mostly best for people with smaller frames. If you're taller or heavier, best go for equipment in the mid-priced range.

For total body workout, try a budget-priced rowing machine. For as little as $150, you'll get a great workout equipment that offers smooth motion, sturdy design and yes, even digital readouts to help you keep track of the calories you have burned.

    Buy secondhand or refurbished.

There are stores (also online shops) that offer gym equipment you can get at a discounted price. You need only pay around 20% to 40% of the original price, maybe even less. Be careful, though. Make sure you can check the quality of the machine yourself so you are assured it will perform as it should and last long. Shop around and check out several sources before deciding on which refurbished or secondhand equipment to buy.

    Penny pinching fitness buffs

So now that you have an idea of how little you could spend on a home gym equipment, you're probably thinking, 'What if all I can afford is equipment ranging from $50 to $100?' Well, take heart. You can still enjoy home gym fitness at zero budget, by investing in equipment that will not put a dent in your pocket. Here are some choices:

Skipping rope. A single set using skipping ropes offers you excellent cardiovascular exercise. Couple this with a routine in strength training with a set of free weights and you're good to go.

Free weights. If you must spend, spend on a good set of free weights. Free weights are excellent for strength training and muscle toning. Simply pair them with a cardiovascular exercise of your choice.

Boxing equipment. Boxing is a terrific workout because it allows you to shed sweat, it increases your heart rate and works out every muscle in your body. Buy a cheap but sturdy punching bag and a pair of gloves that offer sufficient protection. Then hit your home gym and start working out.

Slowly though, the momentum begins to slow and we see the inside of the gym or the track at the high school less and less.

What can you do? We all have our off days. Work drives us crazy, the kids are screaming, and on top of that we burned dinner. Okay so all of these things don't happen at the same time, but they could. The last thing on your mind will be driving to the gym or throwing a tape in the VCR.

The problem with exercise is that when we miss one day it is easier to miss the second and the third day. Even when we enjoy it, other factors come into play. Family, work, stress, and things outside our control all can derail us at some time.

On the other side of the coin, we workout each day and watch what we eat. When we step on the scale after all that hard work and it hasn't budged, that is not encouraging. It is a blow to the stomach and can send some people for the ice cream in the fridge to sooth their heartbreak.

Stay motivated by remembering why you decided it was time to lose weight in the first place. Losing weight can be the difference between living a healthy life and being on medication for conditions that are a result of obesity. Knowing that you may not be alive to see your kids grow up or grow old with your spouse is a major motivation.

It is not the one cupcake or the one time you eat too much pizza. We all have times when we want to eat what we want as a way to kick back. It is falling back into bad habits that are the problem.

Another way to stay motivated is by changing your thinking. When you are stressed, exercise relieves stress. You don't have to go to the gym. You can work in the garden. Ripping out weeds is a good workout and a way to beat the stress in your life. Imagine each weed is a problem you are gaining control over and pull baby pull.

I actually banned myself from using the scale. I stood on it to find out my starting weight, but then used my clothes as a guide for gauging how well I was doing with my program. This made a huge difference to my self-esteem and will to keep going.

Whatever matters most to you, remind yourself of that fact when you feel like giving up. Post it on the wall in big neon letters if you have to, just don't throw away the progress you've made and remember Rome wasn't built in a day and you're weight won't all come off that fast either.

Over the years, there has been a plethora of new fitness equipment that has emerged on the new market and it can become a little bit confusing on what you should be looking for, and what you should buy. When it comes to fitness equipment, you need to make sure that you have a budget and that you know what you want to spend.

After you have the money aspect of it all out of the way, now you need to decide what kind of fitness equipment you need. There are all sorts of different fitness equipment for different types of the body, so it all just depends on what part of the body you are going to target.

Fitness equipment comes in all shapes and sizes, and when we think of this equipment, we tend to think of the type of equipment that we see at the gym that we go to. But not all fitness equipment is big and bulky and takes up a lot of space. Most of it can just come in the form of a few sets of small weights or a small exercise bike. It all depends on what you have room for. If you do not have a lot of space and you are looking to target the muscles in your body, then look into getting a weight set as well as a bench. Weight sets and benches can be done in front of the television, and they can easily be stored in your closet, or under your bed, wherever there is room!

There is no doubt that many people in this world want to change their body and look better. In fact this simple fact has driven the fitness industry to a multi-billion dollar industry filled with fitness machines and equipment.

Using Pilates is one answer to those who are looking to change their body to look better. But better yet with using Pilates you will get much more than just improving your body you will also improve your overall lifestyle.

To get started with Pilates there is not a requirement for a Pilates Machine or equipment although as you advance with Pilates you will definitely want to ensure you use a Pilates machine and the several forms of Pilates equipment.

The goal of this article will be to cover some of the more popular types of Pilates equipment and the main Pilates Machine a Pilates reformer.

    Pilates Machine Reformer

The main Pilates machine used with the Winsor Pilates method is the Pilates reformer. The goal of the Pilates Reformer machine is to provide a comprehensive total-body workout. A Pilates machine can address every muscle group with 32 exercises; and folds up to for easy storage.

A good Pilates reformer will offer several levels of resistance. Expect somewhere around 4 or 5 total levels so that as you advance with Pilates you will increase the level of resistance. These Pilates Machines can come with a wood base and some of the top of the line reformers have patented Aero Pilates cardio/strength combo built in.

    Pilates Ball

Pilates balls come in many forms, with the main goal of providing a low impact workout. You will see the more advanced Pilates balls typically around 22 inches with Pilates rings and adjustable tubing. Essentially these Pilates balls have the elastic resistance bands so that you can workout in both your mid section and upper body.

    Pilates Rings And Pilates Circles

Pilates rings (sometimes known as Pilates circles) stem from the original Pilates workout designed by Joseph Pilates. Basically these Pilate rings are an elastic rubber and allow you to get a total body workout with resistance. Pilate rings are great for traveling or in home workouts because they are small and compact.

A good Pilates ring will consist of flexible plastic and a soft rubberized shell. The ring should have padded handles both inside and outside and provide leveling resistance between a 3 and 4 band ring circle.

Overall the above Pilates machine and equipment provide a good overview of some of the more popular Pilates items used with training. The Pilate machine or equipment is not required to get started with Pilates, but as you advance with Pilates you may want to consider a few of the items. Winsor Pilates is revolutionary workout which can provide you a brand new lifestyle. If you are considering a fitness program I highly recommend you give Winsor Pilates a try.

If you ever turn on the t.v late at night, you'll notice a series of infomercials selling you their latest gadget/machine telling you if you use it for as little as 5 minutes a day, you'll get a sexy, slim waistline and reveal those six pack abs.

The truth is these ab machines will not make you any slimmer, the only thing they'll do for you is give you *stronger* abs. Notice the difference between stronger abs and a slim waistline. Its possible to have a great set of strong ab muscles, but still look repulsive simply because those sexy abs are buried under thick layers of FAT.

In order to get the look you're after you need to concentrate on:

    1. Your diet

    2. Your metabolism

    3. effective ab exercises

An ab machine by itself will literally give you no results if you don't include all these aspects to you're regime. I know its so easy to believe the garbage they sell us on t.v with the sexy models promoting it with a big smile on their faces, swearing their success is all thanks to this magical machine which you only have to use for minutes a day.. (don't fall victim)

If you're serious about getting a six pack or a slim waistline.. you need to start to educate yourself about nutrition and metabolism raising strategies. Let me give you a secret which if done correctly will turn your body into a fat burning machine.

Its called interval training. Also known as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Its where you combine a very high energy spurt such as a sprint or exercise bike sprint with a rest period or a lower intensity period. for e.g you could do 30 seconds of running on a treadmill followed by 2-3 minutes of slow jogging. Then repeat this for 20 minutes.

Combine this type of training with eating 5 - 6 small meals every 2.5 - 3 hour intervals, eating more protein, less saturated fat, more complex carbohydrates, and more omega 3 fats and you'll be on you're way to being the guy or gal who everyone is jealous of.

If you want the complete blueprint of how to get a sexy midsection that you can show off at the beach then I recommend you visit my friend Mike Geary's website. Its a step by step instruction, a-z, paint by numbers system that hasn't failed anyone who's attempted it. Click here to check it out: http://mysixpackformula.com

Baby Einstein Baby Neptune Ocean Adventure Gym

Soft play gym featuring a musical aquarium with swimming ocean animals, classical melodies and dancing lights. Includes plush and plastic accessory toys, and a colorful removable padded mat to keep baby comfy and entertained. Little ones will delight in watching the ''swimming'' ocean animals inside the aquarium. Promotes trilingual learning with animal peek-a-boo flaps and plastic discovery cards. For ages newborn and up
    Customer Review: Entertaining
This is much more entertaining than some of the other themes I have seen out there. It has much more for the baby to do and look at and interact with. There is music (which you can detach that piece and use on the crib) and lights and the big whale with lots of places to hang different things and switch it up. Gotta have this. Don't always go for just the things that LOOK cute. This looks cute and gets the job done!
Customer Review: Favorite activity every day!
My son adores this baby gym so much that he can go in and play excitedly for over an hour every day. It's wonderful! Lots of toys for him to reach for and grab at, and he is completely spellbound by the octopus. It's a delightful thing to have for the baby. As a comparison, I also purchased the gymini by Tiny Love, and he likes it, but does not love it like he LOVES the Baby Neptune.

An elliptical exercise bike is a great way to get an all around full body workout. But can you get the same benefits at home? And what about health concerns while using an elliptical machine?

    A great full body workout.

Work your leg muscles, and at the same time get a great aerobic workout. This is the benefit of an elliptical exercise bike. Similar to an upright bike or recumbent bike, an elliptical will strengthen your leg and lower body without the impact and jarring that running or jogging includes. This is great for people that may have knee issues or are quite overweight.

Elliptical machines are available for the home.

Many people feel intimidated by going to a gym, and this may keep some away all together. Enter the increasing popularity of the home gym. In the past, an elliptical machine may have been prohibitively expensive, and so a person would try to get the same effect with a stationary bike, and maybe a rowing machine. Trouble was, it took twice as long. Now Elliptical machines have come down in price, and many cities have used equipment dealers that carry many of these versatile machines. Now just about anyone that desires to can do their workout in the comfort of their home while watching TV or listening to music.

What about people with knee troubles, or other health concerns?

Well, always consult your doctor first of course. But an elliptical exercise bike is an amazingly versatile piece of workout gear. With most units, you can choose to remain seated if need be, or to stand for a greater workout. These machines have variable resistance levels so you can start off slow and easy, and work your way up to a maximum level workout.

An elliptical exercise bike just may be the piece of workout gear you have been looking for to complete your home gym. Few pieces offer such versatility at one low price.

    Little Tikes EasyStore Large Slide

Convert your ordinary backyard into extraordinary kid fun with this big slide that's a cinch for parents to set up. The 5-foot long slide "unlocks" and folds for compact storage in the garage, basement or an outdoor shed. Wide steps and a sturdy base mean easy up for kids -- plus, it lets parents know that it's a safe play area. Holds up to 50 pounds. Measures 38.25"H x 60"W x 38"D.
Customer Review: Great slide for older toddler
My son loves this slide. He is almost three and it is the perfect size for him. I think that he'll be able to play with it for at least two years. It is very sturdy and has held up well to my son and nephews being quite rowdy on it. My husband thought it was pretty tough to put together, requiring a little too much elbow grease, but I would be surprised if it ever breaks. You won't be disappointed if you buy it.
    Customer Review: Great Slide
This is the 3rd Little Tikes Easy Store Slide I have bought. One for my house, and one each for my grandchildrens homes. My grandchildren love it. The one at my house has been in use for about 10 years, so it is very durable!!

Many women begin to understand the benefits of weight lifting for weight loss program and for toning muscle. Take the weight lifting or muscle exercise min. 3 times a week, and you will see the result after 1-3 months ! But for making your weight lifting exercise effective and healthy, there are 2 things you need to consider :

    Your Ovulation Period

Unlike men, women must lower their weight lifting exercise intensity at least once a month.

Why ? Your ovulation period is the reason.

Have you ever suddenly felt exhausted in the middle your exercise, although you haven't completed all your exercises ? That might happen on the days when you had your period!

A research done by a university found that your muscle power decreases around 10 - 14 days before your ovulation period. The decrease caused by your hormone fluctuation. When you do exercise, especially weight lifting exercise, your power will decrease up to 50%.

    The solution?

    - Use lighter weight.

    - Drink more, to increase your hormone metabolism.

    - Try to have enjoyable exercise, such as treadmill with your i-pod on your ears playing your favorite music, or your favorite low impact aerobics. These exercises will keep your body fresh and fit during your period.

Make Sure Exercise Equipment You Are Going To Use Is Hygienic!

Are you familiar to have exercise at the gym? It's not a wrong choice. Going to the gym for exercise can give us more chance to get out from our routines, to make friends, and (may be) to meet new business relation ! Gym has become our new lifestyle.

However, you might never realize that sharing the equipment and machine at the gym, such as dumbbells, exercise mat, gym balls, treadmills with so many members can be a media of germ spreading ! The book of 'The Secret Life of Germ' has indicated that germ could survive for 24 hours on exercise equipments at the gym that is shared among many people.

What is the safest way to have weight lifting and other exercise at the gym?

There are several alternatives that make sure the hygienic of your exercise at the gym:

    - Exercise/yoga mat : bring your own mat.

    - Treadmills or any other machines: wipe clean the treadmill handle or any parts of other machines that could be in contact with your body during exercise, before using it.

    - Gym ball : do not touch your face, eyes or mouth after using the gym ball.

    - Weight lifting/sit up bench : Bring your own towel, and cover the bench before lying down on it.

    - Take a shower right after exercise, or if your gym does not provide shower facility, at least wash your hands and face with soap right away.

By ensuring the hygienic of your exercise, you can keep your health as well as your toned body by exercising at your gym.

If you work out at a climbing gym for any period of time, you'll realize that a significant percentage of the members did not start out as climbers in search of technical improvement. Many of those who are hanging from their fingertips and standing on features little larger than the thickness of a pencil are there because they hate to exercise! So what was the catch that has exercise haters getting in far better shape than they could dream about at an indoor climbing facility? A climbing gym provides an incredible workout for both the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system without tedious iron pumping or pedal spinning. More importantly, one of the fastest growing sports of the last decade got its popularity because it is just plain fun.

If you want to try out climbing indoors, find out if you have a climbing gym in your local vicinity. If you live in or near a city of over 100,000 there will probably be a climbing gym or two nearby. Many smaller cities have climbing facilities as well.

Chances are the gym will not only have all the gear you need but an introductory class so that you can start up the "cliffs" within minutes. Expect to find many paths up the textured surfaces. Usually there are so many routes up the walls that climbers of all levels can find a challenge cracking a sequence of moves that will allow passage to the top. Besides the roped climbs, climbing facilities usually have a bouldering section where groups of climbers work on specialized "problems." Boulder problems are short sequences of more difficult moves where skills are polished and an encouraging atmosphere keeps motivation power high. To round out the exercise aspect of climbing gyms, most facilities build long traversing climbs close to the ground so that a person who wants to exercise for endurance could stay climbing until total muscular failure if so desired. Some climbers enjoy the gym experience because the activity of climbing can be practiced with an exceptional degree of safety and at a moment's notice. Career professionals and house moms alike can hit the gym and be nearly as proficient as the person who has unlimited time to climb since the indoor cliff is open day and night. Should one decide to take the sport outside, a short course about safety on natural rock will be all that is necessary. Since the gym climber will have already developed the skills for advanced movement he / she will be ready to partner up with a competent leader on increasingly challenging technical climbs.

When you go to the Indoor climbing page at www.climbingaction.com, be sure to check the link with the nationwide listing of climbing gyms to find a facility near you.

Darryl Roth has been climbing for 30 years all over the USA, and internationally. He has made first ascents of hundreds of sport climbs, and boulder problems and continues to do so to this day. He has been a route setter for national level indoor rock climbing competitions and built one of the first indoor climbing gyms in America. Check out http://www.climbingaction.com/Indoor-climbing.html to learn more about the sport of indoor climbing.

Moms With Muscle Brave The Gym

Are you ready to take your workouts public?! Want to start a resistance training program at a gym, but not sure how? Let Julie B. show you what to do! A 42 year-old mother of 3, Julie B. lost 40 lbs. in 11 months through the power of resistance training! In her third DVD, Julie B takes you on a tour of the gym, explains the equipment and what you need to start your own workout program without being intimidated!

The step machine is a gym staple but often overlooked for more popular equipment such as the treadmill and elliptical trainer. Do you want to know why people skip this butt blaster? Probably because it is SO HARD! Nothing will get you sweating like this machine.

    Benefits of the Stair Master

    1. A great lower body workout that really works the glutes and hamstrings. Other cardio exercises focus more on the quads but not this one!

2.Improve everyday stair climbing. If you find yourself out of breath after running up your stairs at home or work, the stepper will fix that right up!

    3. Train for a stair race. The CN Tower has their annual stair climb for the World Wildlife Foundation. To say you climbed all the way up the CN Tower is pretty cool. So start training!

    4. A home stepper is quite small and inexpensive and can be moved easily, unlike other cardio equipment. You can step in front of the TV or even out on the deck, depending on your mood.

    5. The stepper is a challenging cardio exercise that will improve heart health and burn lots of calories.

When you start out, I suggest hopping on the stepper for only about 10-15 minutes at a time on an easy level. It can take a few tries to get the rhythm and coordination down. Try adding it with 15 minutes on another machine, like the treadmill or stationary bicycle. This is a great way to challenge your body and not get bored by using only one piece of equipment.

    Try The Stepper!
